Political borders as scientific barriers in general practice. Portugal and Spain as a case study

Ignorance is frequently the rule in between neighbours. This study focus on political borders as scientific barries with data from Portuguese and Spanish publications in the field of General Practice. Spanish authors fully ignore their Portugueses colleages which in turn cited them just in low percentage. Both use to cite English papers, as the European publications do no exit if publish in other language.

Disease mongering by WHO

The severity of swine flu is generally very low but WHO (World Health Organization) papers and policy transmit the idea of: a/ swine flu is a terrible and dangerous disease, and b/ prevention and treatment of flu swine is justifiable, necessary and urgent. It looks like a “disease mongering” campaign by WHO.
